🚨BREAKING: Danny McBride confirms he has written a new GI Joe movie and it’s moving quickly at Paramount

He said he was a huge fan growing up, more than anything else, and still has his toy collection. He said he actually pitched a Dreadnoks movie to Paramount, but was they wanted to relaunch the film series so to write a film that was GI Joe proper

He was super excited and said during the interview:

• A grounded action film (not a comedy)
• The goal is to film in 2027
• Currently casting
• Focuses on Duke and his team#
• The movie will take place in a town where everyone is secretly part of COBRA

Danny McBride explained that the #GIJoe reboot is not a comedy but will instead lean into suspense and action while remaining a fun and entertaining journey for moviegoers:

"We cracked something that we really love. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it looks like it's going to be pretty fun."
