Capital markets union will require new legislation, in this case replacing divergent national rules and licensing. Yea that's simplification but not the kind we're talking about here. To me that's the most important thing to be getting on with.

I don't see how regulation of any kind is the root cause of (or indeed the solution to) the demographic problem.

I'll gloss over energy for now as I'm not an expert.

2. COOL-life, although poorly marketed (same culture war coding error), looks to me like a technology project.

There are better tech solutions than AC out there.

My in-laws use them in Madrid (something similar to underfloor heating... I'll need to look up the details if you're interested but it's amazing).

Nothing wrong with trying to build something better.

@RadioFreeTom This really isn't the case. It's just northern Europe which until recently didn't have much need for it. In the South it's standard everywhere.

AC doesn't need to be part of the culture war.

AC isn't maga coded. Not having AC isn't woke. Europe can afford AC and has it where it's most needed (I lived in Spain. Never an issue).

Apparently we need to start installing it in more places.
