Great to see the Tailteann Cup get this promotion. But it is extremely disappointing that there was no similar launch for the Ring, Rackard or Meagher competitions this year. Again the lower levels of hurling being totally neglected and ignored. #GAA#Hurling#TailteannCup
Last night was unforgettable.
Stepping back onto the pitch after two years away meant more to me than I can express. To the fans, thank you for the love, the energy, and the belief.
To everyone who stood behind me, supported me, and pushed me through every moment of this journey, I’m deeply grateful. This debut wasn’t just mine…
it belonged to all of you who never stopped supporting me.
"All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face"
You had many opportunities to leave this football club and achieve your freedom.
You cant play football with a smile unless you are being paid £250,000 a week.

SPORT: @stfechins Captain Peter Fortune is one of the players aiming for a fifth @louthgaa SHC medal when his team face @NaomhMoninne in Sunday’s County Final..
They give everything for their county—time, energy, sacrifice. But they’re still covering the cost themselves.

Our long-serving County Board members Fra Kieran, presented with the 2025 Poc Fada Hall of Fame by Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Jarlath Burns.
Fra has provided extraordinary service and commitment to the development of GAA.
Well done to Fra from all at Louth GAA👏🏼👏🏼🔴⚪️
I often hear people tell me that hurling needs 2 refs. Well tonight in St Mullins - David Hickey did TWO hurling games and as usual he was top class. His standards did not wane even late into match 2. Brilliant ref. Has standards and keeps them. @Carlow_GAA@fenaghgfccarlow
Kildare winning the Joe McDonagh is a real win for all lower tier hurling counties! No one would have given them a chance at the start of the year but they know the work that has been done inside their own county. I hope all counties take them as an example of what can be done 👏
