Up to today we’ve celebrated 108 kid’s birthdays in our family, today we celebrate #109 and it all with this one. Happy 27th Birthday @emmastohlman ! Love you!!
So here’s about 33% of our early 70’s Family Truckster and 100% of my sister, Jean. If you get it right, you get to ride in “the way-back” with the tailgate window down! #DavesCarIDService@JeanPentolino
Also, the two cars in the show room are both 1953 Chevy Bel Airs.
Only 300 1953 Corvettes were ever made, all of them Polo White with red interiors. All are very collectible, but the one in the photo even more so; $1 million+ I'd guess. The first Corvette ever made (VIN 001) never left GM.
WOW. I did some digging on this one (in more ways than one), and turns out Grandpop's Chevy dealership was in Washington DC, the buyer was General Donald Yates (Ike's second in command in WW2), and VIN # was E53F001014, the 14th Vette ever made.

#DavesCarIDService This one’s got it all! Family history! Old dealerships! Mystery models! Swell threads! Here’s me ( flat top) my Dad and my siblings in 1987 in front of my Grad Dad’s Chevy Dealer. Uncle Ed’s delivering the 1st Vette ever sold. What’s in the showroom?
@Commanders 1974 vs Miami at RFK. Thought it was funny that the announcer kept calling one of the Dolphins “greasy.” ( Give me a break, I was 9, I didn’t know who was who on the teams, but I certainly knew the ‘Skins were the good guys!)
Hey @iowahawkblog ! Here’s what I know: my great grand father bough a couple of delivery trucks for their bakery in D.C. They let the truck dealer , Semmes Motor Co, use them in advertising. What I don’t know is: what kinda trucks are they? #DavesCarIDService
