'Iโm truly bowled over by the outpouring of support and affection since revealing my dementia diagnosis.
'Receiving a dementia diagnosis can turn your world upside down, but I really do believe itโs better to know.
'Too many people are experiencing delays in diagnosis - on average 3.5 years - meaning theyโre left in limbo without the help they need.
'An early diagnosis can open the door to treatment, support, care and the chance to take part in research that could change the future.โฏ
'People living with dementia and their families have waited long enough for change. We must demand better for everyone affected.
'I would urge everyone to join me in signing Alzheimerโs Societyโs open letter calling on government to deliver a bold and ambitious plan for dementia.โ

@CarlBovisNature The rain has brought the slugs out! I found a few in the garden last night.
The most I will do is pick them out from amongst the plants I want, or make use of copper tape and grit. Certainly no poisons because why would I put that into the food chain!?
I need to start adding links to my bird photo prints more regularly in the replies under the photos, because my little business needs more income & many followers don't even realise that they can buy most of the photos they see here! ๐๐ฆโค๏ธ
@Shrink_at_Large Wait, when @Helen_Whately admitted that @SophyRidgeSky should probably talk to a psychiatrist for definitions, was she essentially admitting that she was talking absolute guff?
That's handy. Now I know not to listen to her. Thanks, Helen.

@CarlBovisNature Advocating for doing the right thing, for having basic respect and consideration, ought not to be divisive. But here we are.
The news often has me despairing.
So I turn to nature, *sigh*, only to find. . .
There's good, but there's much to despair over under the trees, as well
@juliet_turner6 I don't know if this helps, but I do believe the etymology for the word magpie is tied to the name Margaret which, in (less PC) times gone by, was given to women who were thought to chat too much.

@joemartin1066 Not "totally mental". . .
All that you sense in the world isn't as you perceive it; your brain takes in sensory data, and turns it into colour and sound. . . light and vibration!
That's totally mental!
You found some things in a place.
That's pretty blah, if you ask me.
