The 2025 Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour is a 98-minute theatrical program featuring 7 short films from Indigenous filmmakers: six from the 2025 @sundancefest and one from the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Started in 2021 as a virtual presentation in conjunction with our friends at museums, Native cultural centers, and arthouse cinemas.

The curated selection reflects a variety of Native stories and showcases inventive, original storytelling from indigenous artists previously supported by the Festival. Support for screenings is provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Don't miss THE SHAPE OF WATER (2017) tomorrow night at Phoenix Art Museum.

Cinema’s great modern mythmaker Guillermo del Toro uses the hallmarks of classic horror and fantasy to tell a strange and sublime fable about outsiderhood, connection, and love’s transcendence. An ineffably touching Sally Hawkins plays Elisa, a mute janitor at a top-secret government laboratory who finds herself drawn to the facility’s newest research subject: a humanoid amphibian—for whom she is soon risking everything, amid the stifling conformity of 1960s America.

A triumph of visual imagination that combines elements of sci-fi, noir, and the golden-age musical, this swooning cinematic dreamscape—winner of four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director—is a monster movie with a human heart.

“Wes Anderson’s finest and funniest movie.” – Presenting THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS (2001) on Wednesday, May 21, at Phoenix Art Museum.

We invite you to celebrate the remarkable career of Gene Hackman with a screening of The Royal Tenenbaums. Hackman, a versatile actor who graced the screen for nearly 50 years, captivated audiences in films like Superman and Crimson Tide to his Oscar-winning performances in The French Connection and Unforgiven.

In The Royal Tenenbaums, Hackman delivers an iconic performance as Royal Tenenbaum, the estranged patriarch of a once-extraordinary family. He and his wife, Etheline (Anjelica Huston), raised three prodigies: Chas (Ben Stiller), a precocious real estate mogul; Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow), a gifted playwright; and Richie (Luke Wilson), a tennis champion. Virtually all memory of the brilliance of the young Tenenbaums was subsequently erased by two decades of betrayal, failure, and disaster.

Thank you for a record-breaking Friday night! 🔥

We want to thank everyone who attended The pARTy in the Garden and The afterpARTy at Phoenix Art Museum this past Friday. Your presence, support and donations made it one for the books.

We are thrilled to share that this year’s pARTy in the Garden raised a record-breaking $2.2 million in support of our mission to create spaces of meaningful exchange and belonging for every visitor who walks through our doors. This included a $1 million gift from Jordan Rose and Rob Walton to establish the Rob Walton, Jordan Rose, and Rose Law Group Fund for Contemporary Art, an endowment fund that will provide ongoing support for contemporary art exhibitions, educational programs, and scholarship at the Museum.

The evening would not have been possible without the tremendous efforts of our pARTy co-chairs, Jordan Rose and Rob Walton and Jay Franke and David Herro, in addition to the dedication of our afterpARTy chairs, Jennifer and Andrew Cooper.

On behalf of everyone at PhxArt, thank you for your support!
