@ABridgen Watch Dr Christopher’s lecture on YT about the cowboy 🤠 who allegedly cured his skin cancer by working naked and eating loads of antioxidant plant 🌱 foods.
@Mofoman360 90% of U.K. lamb goes into the halal market so banning it would have a massive impact on our farmers. I’d like to see all halal and kosher animals stunned before slaughter instead. If an animal’s giving its life for humans it’s the least we can do.
@coffeejones123@zoeharcombe I think claimants can only get compensation if they can prove they’re over 60% disabled as a result. That’s harder than it sounds, so unlikely that most claims will go through unfortunately (or fortunately as tax payers shouldn’t be paying)
@toobaffled Yes I’ve had a patient with lesions exactly like that. They were caused by an ad reaction to scabies medication and she made a full recovery after treatment with herbs and medicinal mushrooms 🍄🟫
@patricia_stoop@jonathanstea 😢 I completely understand why there’s the hate for alternative medicine with cancer but patients won’t disclose what alternatives they’re using to their doctors if it continues. They don’t need a hostile response on top of everything else they’re dealing with.
@patricia_stoop@jonathanstea So sorry 😢 I had a patient who was palliative and couldn’t have any more mainstream treatment. She became obsessed with carrot 🥕 juice, convinced she’d have a miraculous recovery. She found some inner peace in the end but it was sad to see her so desperate.
@jonathanstea@Liz_ORiordan That’s really awful, and I’ve heard similar stories, but I guess it’s their choice. Some alternative treatments used alongside mainstream, or when mainstream has nothing left to offer can be really helpful when used appropriately. We can’t write off all alternative methods.
@AlisynGayle@Liz_ORiordan Yes, and if you drink tap water, use hormonal contraceptives etc, they all damage the gut microbiome. Personally I recommend using supplements in the short term where needed and daily intake of probiotic foods the rest of the time.
