Think the Greater Racket-tailed Drongo is just a cool-looking bird with a fancy tail? Wrong. It’s the jungle's biggest con artist!
This bird is an absolute master of mimicry. When it sees another bird with a juicy catch, it perfectly mimics the terrifying alarm call of a deadly hawk! The panicked bird drops its meal and flees for its life, allowing the Drongo to swoop in and steal the free lunch. Nature's ultimate scammer! 🐦🎭🥷🤯

.@AgnikulCosmos is getting ready for Mission 2, where they will not just place a commercial payload in orbit but also attempt to recover the rocket’s lower stage for reuse.
The architecture for the reusable launch vehicle is almost frozen, Srinath Ravichandran, co-founder and CEO, AgniKul Cosmos says. “All the pieces of the tech needed for reusability are in place; we will have to now sequence them exactly.”
The company is eyeing an early-2027 timeline for lift off
Founders @srinathr155 and @moin_spm, who patiently let us tour their facilities, say that the best part about cracking reusability will be decoupling of rocket production capacity and launch cadence

It’s been 24 hours now…
Vikram-1’s launch still feels surreal.
Knowing just how hard this is, I couldn’t contain the excitement at Mission Control as the rocket we built with so many dreams successfully inserted satellites into orbit — on its very first attempt.
Just phenomenal! 🔥🚀🚀
Agnikul Cosmos is next and is planning for Mission-02 that will fly a customized, two-stage configuration of Agnikul's flagship Agnibaan rocket that will attempt to achieve India’s first-ever sea-landing and recovery of an orbital-class rocket booster, aiming to master reusable rocket technology.
One time use rockets were originally developed and flown at a time when getting to space was about one off goals. For economically viable, frequently flyable missions, the philosophy is about rapid reuse, complete flexibility and modularity. This is what our Mission - 02 will demonstrate.
To have Dr. Somanath @SomanathSpeak guide us on strategy and execution at the Board level as an Observer in building such missions is a true blessing.
Looking forward to building world class and original technology from India, for the world with the new reforms happening in India. As always, grateful to the entire team in wanting to attempt such ambitious missions from India.

It is an absolute honour for us that Dr. S Somanath ever so kindly agreed to join us as an Oberver on our Board. Thank you @SomanathSpeak Sir.
Every single person at @AgnikulCosmos is inspired by the vision, clarity and engineering acumen he brings to our country. To have someone we look upto at that level mentor us as we build ambitious missions is truly a blessing and a dream come true.
Our upcoming Mission - 02 is a mission to remove, as much as possible, the use of one time use systems in rockets, at every single level - from engines to entire stages. Having Dr. Somanath advise us on such a mission and on other strategic initiatives ahead of us is very valuable.
We are where we are because of @isro , @INSPACeIND and @iitmadras and we continue to commit as a team to build original and new space technology for the world, from India.

During her PhD at the National Institute of Immunology in New Delhi, Parul Ganju began meeting people living with vitiligo.
The condition destroys the skin's pigment-producing cells, spreading white patches across the body, and in India, where skin tone carries outsized social weight, its effects extend far beyond the physical. "The effect of this disease was humongous," she would later say, "and they were waiting for something to work."
When her PhD ended, she had two offers: a prestigious government scholarship for young researchers and a post-doctoral position in the United States. She turned both down. Publishing in high-impact journals, she had decided, would not cure a single patient. In 2016, she co-founded Ahammune Biosciences in Pune with her PhD collaborator Dr. Krishnamurthy Natarajan, a professor at JNU, with one objective: build a drug that could actually work.
The problem with existing vitiligo treatments is not just that they fail. Steroids, the current standard of care, suppress the entire immune system to slow the disease, cannot reverse it, and cause long-term organ damage from broad immunosuppression. AB1001, Ahammune's lead drug candidate, takes a fundamentally different approach: it blocks the specific cellular signaling pathway that triggers melanocyte destruction, stopping the disease at its origin without compromising systemic immunity. Parul calls it "cutting fuel to the fire."
AB1001 has completed Phase 1 clinical trials and is now in Phase 2. Ahammune holds seven granted patents in India, the United States, Europe, Israel, and Australia from 20 filed applications. The company has raised $8 million from investors including pi Ventures, Ideaspring Capital, and Kotak Alternate Assets.
Vitiligo affects 1 to 2% of the global population. India's prevalence runs higher than the global average, and at the country's scale, that means tens of millions of people managing a condition for which medicine has never found a permanent answer.
Parul Ganju turned down a US post-doc to build one.
It was an absolute honour to present the features of AgniKul Cosmos's Agnibaan launch vehicle at Nice, France in the hashtag #BharatInnovates2026 event. We had the incredible opportunity to speak directly to His Excellency President Emmanuel Macron @EmmanuelMacron and Honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi @narendramodi about why our rockets are different and what is new.
We are extremely grateful to the Ministry of Education, India, & IIT Madras for selecting us as the only launch vehicle company from India to showcase our Innovation at Bharat Innovates 2026
In @AgnikulCosmos 's journey, we have always believed that building useful rockets should be through original technology that adds to what is missing in the rocket launch market today. Having the chance to showcase this technology - recoverable lower stages and extendable upper stage platforms - at a global stage is a dream come true and is a huge shot of inspiration for all us at Agnikul.
The whole event is actually a humble reminder to all of us about what is today possible from India, for the world.

#WATCH | Nice, France | Srinath Ravichandran, Co-Founder and CEO of AgniKul Cosmos, says, "We build rockets that take satellites to space. We are based out of the IIT Madras ecosystem in Chennai. Our rockets are fully reusable."
Co-Founder of AgniKul Cosmos, Moin says, "We are grateful to the government for giving us the opportunity to build an ecosystem of vendors, investors, and customers. The strong message being conveyed through this is that the government is showcasing India's credibility to the world..."
Corruption is no longer in suitcases full of cash.
It is now structural, institutionalized and "legal".
That is why most Indians fail to see it.

Her name is Malavika Hegde.
In July 2019, her husband VG Siddhartha walked onto a bridge near Mangalore and told his driver he would be back shortly.
He never came back.
Siddhartha had built Cafe Coffee Day into India’s largest coffee chain. 1700 cafes. 25000 employees. He had also buried the company under Rs 7214 crore of debt.
The board panicked. Analysts wrote CCD off.
Nobody had accounted for Malavika.
She was an engineer. A mother of two. She had never run a company in her life. Her father SM Krishna was a former Chief Minister of Karnataka. She could have lived in that shadow comfortably.
She chose the debt instead.
In December 2020, she took over as CEO. In the middle of a pandemic. Her first act was a personal letter to all 25000 employees. She wrote the CCD story is worth preserving. I will fight for this brand.
Then she got to work.
She called every lender personally and renegotiated terms. She sold Global Village Tech Park to Blackstone. She closed every loss making outlet. She exported premium Arabica beans from her own 20000 acre farm to international markets to generate fresh revenue.
She never raised the price of a single cup of coffee.
By 2021, the debt was down to Rs 1731 crore. By 2023, it was Rs 465 crore.
A 93 percent reduction in four years.
Today, CCD runs 423 cafes and 55733 vending machines across India. Netflix is developing a web series on her life. Business schools are teaching her turnaround as a case study.
She had no playbook. She had no mentor. She had grief and 25000 people depending on her.
That was enough.
Follow for real stories India never makes headlines about.
