"It means too much to me to make the cut. Today I started very good, I started birdie-par-birdie and putt myself to a -7 total. And then we made a mistake, on the par three. They changed the pin this morning, we didn't figure it out and played it 15 longer. Then we three putted.
"For a reason I only see... I was four or five behind the leaders, instead of thinking about that, I was thinking about the cut line. It doesn't matter how many golf tournament's you've played, or any many you've won, man... I was shaking today.
"I made the best bogey of my career at the last to make it (the cut). Not too many time you try and two putt from nine feet. Thinking 'be careful, don't hit it too hard'.
"Not that we made it, we have to think bigger and I think like yesterday, I have lower rounds in me. We will go tomorrow morning for it."
As usual, a very open and honest Pablo Larrazábal speaks out about the nerves he was feeling today as he tried to make the cut for the first time since the Qatar Masters in February 🔊

“It’s not easy to not think about the cut. The last cut I made was in Qatar, the first week of February. I’m coming here with eight missed cuts in a row and suddenly it doesn’t matter how many golf tournaments you’ve played in your career, I started shaking.
“This is how tough this game is and how ugly it gets sometimes. Those four putts on the 5th hole were all about shaking, I couldn’t make it in the hole. The second putt was shorter than 2ft and it didn’t even touch the hole.
“This is my 19th season out here, I have a family to support and I have a kid to take care of. Out of the 480 tournaments I’ve played in my career, the first five and these last five, I have been thinking about money and that’s not easy to play with.”
Nine-time DP World Tour winner Pablo Larrazábal reflects on a tough season as he currently sits on the cut-line on his 480th appearance 🗣️

"That's the only thing that is left for me, in my career, to win the tenth in front of my son. And putting my son, I just saw the trophy so now I know that my son will fit inside the trophy. So it will mean a lot.
“Then, you know, it's the only thing that I have left in my career to win in front of my son, it will be a dream come true. It would mean a lot because obviously a win at home would be... I won one hour away from home, in INFINITUM. Number seven was in INFINITUM.
“And the party was hard but I cannot imagine winning in front of my wife, my friends, in front of my son."
