A Neuroscientist found your brain runs a hidden network that keeps you believing you are a separate person. But researchers found they can TURN IT OFF and disrupt the boundary between self, memory, perception, and reality itself.
Scientists call it the default mode network, or DMN.
In the early 2000s, neuroscientist Marcus Raichle helped identify this network through brain-imaging research.
