@StJohnsU esports competed at the @PlayVS College League Spring Championship in Waco, Texas, with Marvel Rivals earning a 3rd-place national finish and League of Legends securing a Top 8 finish. After an undefeated conference season, the Red Storm proved they can compete with the nation's best.

Scholastic and collegiate esports platform @playvs and media company Urban One have announced the official name and logo for their joint HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) collegiate esports initiative: the Power4+ HBCU Esports League.

Introducing the Power4+ HBCU Esports League.

PlayVS and Urban One have officially unveiled the name and logo of a national HBCU collegiate esports competition launching in February 2027. With over 25 institutions already committed, the league will create new opportunities for HBCU students through competitive gaming and career-connected experiences.
