Weekly Policing Highlights | 14–20 June 2026
Our officers remained active across the Greater Malé Region throughout the week, carrying out proactive policing and responding to incidents to help keep our communities safe.
During the week, officers conducted more than 16,000 location checks, responded to over 360 reported incidents, and made 40 arrests through ongoing operations and enforcement efforts. Traffic police and road management teams also responded to 54 traffic-related incidents.
These efforts reflect the dedication and commitment of our officers who serve every day to prevent crime, respond to public concerns, and maintain a safe and secure environment for all.
Today, as part of our Professional Leadership Development Series, we had the opportunity to hear from Sheikh Ahmed Sameer Ibrahim on "The Purpose of Our Life in This World: A Worldly and Hereafter Perspective."
The session encouraged us to reflect on the importance of purpose, responsibility and integrity in our daily lives and in the service we render to the public.
We thank Sheikh Ahmed Sameer Ibrahim for taking the time to share his thoughts with our officers. Such conversations strengthen our commitment to serving with values and a sense of purpose.
