@a_chrisbray The aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CV-12) holds the all-time U.S. Navy record for the most uninterrupted time at sea, remaining underway for 495 consecutive days during World War II.
@RightSandy My husband can no longer have alcohol because of medication that he will be on for the rest of his life. I thought it would be easier for him if I didn't drink either. We have found great non-alcoholic options. In fact, I'm drinking a non-alcoholic Rosé right now.
@ReallyJustG It has a funky smell, but not as bad as taleggio or limberger, for example. I also find that stinky cheeses are not so bad when they're melted. For example, I really don't like blue cheese much, but as long as it's melted on something, I'm okay with it.
Very similar I think. Drip Drop was the fist in that category. Developed by a Mayo Clinic trained physician who was treating cholera in the field. I've been consuming it since a few years before COVID. Big fan of the lemon lime flavor. It is a fast acting powder as opposed to some other competitors in that space that are tablets. It's much easier to dissolve. Great to have on hand for normal hydration needs like your mom. Great for stomach viruses and flu and, oh yeah, also good for hangover (not that I would know anything about that 😉). By the way if you go to their website they usually have a free sample pack offer. You pay shipping. Here's is the link to their zero surgar sample offer: https://t.co/eGimte7syW
@Micky_Finn@a_chrisbray The historical record for a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier operating away from its home port is held by the World War II-era USS Hornet (CV-12), which logged 495 consecutive days.
I'm a big fan of Drip Drop hydration powder packets. They're small, portable, you can mix it with hot water or cold water. You can even freeze it into a pop. My husband doesn't drink enough water at all. They make a zero sugar powder as well. You do have to watch the sodium however. Not recommended for people who are on sodium restricted diets. They're the equivalent of a medical IV. I keep telling him his heart and his brain work on electricity and they both need water.
I tried. My personal favorite is Stouffer's spinach souffle. But I don't bake it in the plastic tray. I defrosted a little bit then I break it up put it in a glass baking dish. Fooled all of my friends with it for years. I used to have a baking dish shaped like the state of Texas and I would break up three spinach souffles put it in that dish and bake it off in the oven. My friends thought I had made a spinach souffle from scratch and were so impressed 😂
