Track II junkies remain exactly that - junk!
“Anybody from India…whether it is retired diplomats, retired military officials, members of civil society…they speak for themselves and they represent their own point of view. They do not in any way, they cannot in any way represent the view of the government of India. We really take no cognizance of these events. They really don't hold much value, as far as we are concerned."

#WATCH | Victoria, Seychelles: On being asked about Track 2 India-Pakistan dialogue in Colombo, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri says, "I have seen the reports. I am aware of them. Dozens of these kinds of events take place in dozens of places around the world on a whole variety of subjects. There's nothing new, nothing special about these events. As far as we are concerned, these are private events organised by private parties. There is nothing official about them as far as we are concerned. I cannot speak for the government of Pakistan, but as far as the Government of India is concerned, there is no official participation, no official support or involvement, in these visits. Anybody from India who is participating in these events, whether it is retired diplomats, retired military officials, members of civil society, when they participate in such events, they speak for themselves and they represent their own point of view. They do not in any way, they cannot in any way represent the view of the government of India. We really take no cognizance of these events. They really don't hold much value, as far as we are concerned."
@dgshipping_IN@shipmin_india, you’re confident a generalist like some IAS is professionally experienced and domain qualified across -> “maritime regulations, maritime security & safety, environmental protection, seafarer welfare, implementation of international maritime conventions, maritime governance, and international maritime standards & frameworks” ??
@DinTri , what precise COVID crisis or natural disaster first response emergency are we dealing with right now in context of Bangladesh vis-à-vis Indo-US relation and broader South Asian region?
@KanwalSibal Surprised coming from you…
During Covid didn’t the world work together?
During disasters doesn’t the world come together?
I would not have replied but since I respect you .
Best wishes

@HinaRKhar@HinaRKhar , It must hurt you deep being the product of the global terror nation! Any of your brothers you might have married happen to lead the LeT by any chance?
@SeaSkipper Also other points for all those swift at blaming Indian Merchant Navy officers without comprehending an iota of international norms and intricacies therein -
1. Indian Merchant Naval officers sail in international waters with valid visas authorised by the destination country, and are vetted by Government of India’s Immigration authorities. Captain Ajay Pant had all legally binding visa approvals and had NOT breached any law whatsoever.
If the Indian Captain “broke the law”, did the Government of India enable it then by clearing his vetting on Immigration departures? Or did the foreign government enable this without GOI’s knowledge?
2. India continues to import Russian oil despite EU+UK unilaterally imposed unlawful sanctions on Russia (India’s key strategic partner). That oil is navigated in high-risk international waters by Indian Merchant Navy officers risking their own lives at sea, bringing Russian oil to Indian shores that helps keep the Indian economy and energy security afloat amid global shocks.
If this is a “UK+EU sanctions breach by the Indian Captain”, isn’t the Government of India also in “violation and breach of sanctions” importing “sanctioned Russian oil into India”??
3. The EU+UK sanctions are unilateral, NOT recognised by international law, and NOT mandated under UN/UNSC frameworks either. Infact, these sanctions are being challenged hard under international law.
India and Indian Merchant Naval officers are not legally bound to follow these EU+UK’s unilateral unlawful sanctions at any legal, security, or risk framework level.
Let’s not scapegoat Indian Merchant Naval Captain + crew and fall for Western narratives. Instead, let’s ask the Indian State and question the foreign authorities!

🔱✨❤️ #MsEarthPageant#Throwback
Exactly 6 years ago, on this date, stood on the stage far from home, carrying a larger purpose in my heart fuelled by fiery spirit of #Bharat 🇮🇳 in my soul - to my surprise first qualified into the UK nationals as a finalist, and then on the day, after four further intense rounds of competition, got crowned Ms. Earth Air UK, as the 1st Runner-Up, that evening.
Amongst the contestants, was the only contestant to have never done a pageant before, national or international.
What makes it unforgettable is not the title, but the journey and the impact that matters - in what felt like representing MAA BHARATHI on foreign soil at the time. And so, the weight that one felt and the nerves that one carried, were real. But the conviction, composure, and confidence remained undeterred.
With no family around - as they were in #Bharat, almost as if divine blessing had showered itself - the love, warmth, adulation, and constant cheering I received throughout all the rounds from the families of all other fellow contestants - it all shall remain vivid in memories.
During the reigning year, had the privilege and honour to serve as an Ambassador for the cause - advocating on mental health, women in leadership, climate action.
Eternally grateful for the opportunity and support received to several many.
To every woman out there-
You don’t need a crown to be worthy.
Neither do you need anyone’s permission to rise.
Your voice, your credentials, your purpose, your journey - they shall be your superpower.
Be unstoppable! ✨
Har Har Mahadev! 🔱🔥
As Keir Starmer announces his resignation, one resident of 10 Downing Street is preparing to welcome yet another prime minister. Larry the Cat, the UK's famous Chief Mouser, has been a constant fixture at No. 10 since 2011, serving under six prime ministers.
