Ever notice how two sections on a page with the same background, stacked together, look like they have twice the spacing between them?
Little layout details like that are what separate “functional” from “polished.”
In our latest article, @angeloashmore breaks down 3 techniques for building Prismic slices that respond to their surroundings instead of sitting as isolated blocks:
🔹 Set a baseline: a shared wrapper component that keeps padding and max-width consistent across every slice
🔹 Break the baseline: a CSS technique that automatically collapses spacing when two adjacent slices share the same background
🔹 Adapt to the environment: use SliceZone’s slices and index props so a slice can react to its neighbors or its position on the page
Simple patterns that go a long way toward more cohesive pages. Check out the full breakdown 👇

Website navigation doesn't have to be complicated.
Most sites fit into one of three patterns:
➡️ A simple list of links
➡️ Groups of links
➡️ Collections of groups (mega menus)
In our latest guide, @angeloashmore shows how to model and build each approach using the Prismic CLI, complete with Next.js examples.
🤖 Working with a coding agent? Point it at this guide and let it handle the implementation.
The key takeaway: choose the simplest navigation structure that meets your needs, and only add complexity when your design requires it.

It started with GitHub Copilot in 2022. I tried Warp, Claude Code, GPT Codex 5 and pretty much everything else.
But I keep coming back to Cursor. They ship fast, stay pragmatic about UX, and the features wrap around how I actually work.
