Today, I had a wonderful meeting with my good friend and producer, JJ Otieno, at my office in the Embassy of Eritrea. JJ is an iconic London-based Kenyan artist, renowned for his remarkable contributions to African music. He gained fame in the late 1980s with his hit song "Kutangatanga," which he released with The Mighty EarthQuake Band in both Swahili and Kirundi. His unique sound expertly blends East African rhythms, acoustic melodies, and contemporary jazz, often inspired by his innovative jam sessions. During our engaging discussion, we explored the deep connections between Africa, music, and film. I am genuinely excited about our conversation and look forward to the creative projects we will embark on together soon! #AfricaConnect
