What I'm reading in 2026

First read is Kingsland. I love the storyline which is about a Black Utopia that ironically has cracks, including a serial killer at large. The narrators did an amazing job. Rating it 4.5 stars

For the past three years, we've been told that anyone can be Lagosian. That "we're all one." That there's no need for division.

To all Yoruba silent observers who stay behind the keyboard and watch all manner of rhetoric’s flying around about us.

Rhetorics like lazy, dirty, ugly, too beautiful to be Yoruba, coward, betrayals, slaves, razz, loud-mouthed, and many more.

I was once a silent observer and let all the rhetorics fly and do nothing.

I STOPPED. Not anymore, not in my watch.

These rhetorics have been internalized far too long by some young Yoruba as evident in the Yoruba-buts.

My children will come and ready about Yoruba here and whatever they read will shape their opinion.

I will use my pen to rewrite history on here.

The goal of the hate is so you can shrink yourself in your own domain and tiptoe around them like you’re on eggshells. Own your identity with pride and never apologise for being excellent at what you do. Tunde OD bragged about his achievements and they tried to pull him down, but he owned it and succeeded even more. If a people is deliberately pushing false narrative and information about your ethnic group in the name of politics, you have no business sitting on the fence.

You are either for your people or against them.
Note: you are NEVER AN OUTLIER in the face of this people.
This is not politics, this a deliberate attempt to erase the true history, culture and identity of an entire ethnic group.

The crazy thing when you discover GRV’s antecedents with tribal bigotry, is that the tribe that his bigotry was against is his own people.
I don’t think you get, the people his bigoted tribal slurs and statements were against, are Yorubas, the very ones he wants to lead. Imagine my shock knowing he has been following Harry through every of his blocked pages.
