“Bush Moukarzel and Ben Kidd’s playfully original work tests expectations of reailty and theatrical illusion.” ★★★★ Irish Times
From its very beginning theatre has offered audiences a chance to escape the world and enter a new one. But what happens when theatre stops working? Where do we go next?
Dead Centre’s To Be A Machine (Version 1.0) meditated on the use of technology to improve the human condition. Version 2.0 goes further, exploring how virtual reality will soon feel more immersive than reality itself. And that might mean we never have to go to the theatre again.

After purchasing a ticket, you will be sent a link by email with instructions on how to upload your photo. Julian La Blanc could have been a star. A real bleedin’ contender he was. So how did he end up teaching these ungrateful little wagons in St. Bernadette’s Parish Hall Ballybough? Well, point your toes, pay your fees and he just might tell ya.
This legend of Dublin Fringe makes its Norma Desmond return reimagined as a one man spectacular. Written and performed by TKB.

Roots in Every Room by Anna D runs in the Cube from 15 - 18 July as part of As Seen On Fringe. Tickets from €18 via the link below.
Off the back of its sell-out Dublin Fringe run in 2025, Roots in Every Room is a powerful one-woman live performance blending spoken word, poetry, film, and sound to tell a deeply personal story of healing and ancestral reckoning. Inspired by dreams passed down through generations, it is a viciously vulnerable exploration of the struggles of womanhood, trauma and emotional survival.
A visceral, multi-sensory experience, the show invites you to witness one woman’s journey to break cycles, reclaim feminine power, and transform inherited pain into radical hope and strength.

We were absolutely delighted to host dancer and choreographer Sindri Runudde and their Access supporter Pavel Heidler in Ireland for a few days last month as part of their international residency with Europe Beyond Access. Sindri and Pavel travelled from Multiplie Festival in Trondheim to Dublin for a week of artistic research and collaboration with some of Ireland’s leading access facilitators. Learn more at the link below.
Alongside dramaturgical support from our Artistic Director Sophie Motley, Sindri met with our Access Manager and Creative Producer Adrian Colwell, as well as our long-time collaborator Bríd Ní Ghruagáin, to discuss access provision within arts organisations and approaches to audio description. An audio-described performance of PUFF was also organised for Sindri to attend, which ran at Project as part of the Dublin Dance Festival.
Further artistic research included a visit to West Kerry to meet with Michael Keegan Dolan of Teac Damsa and listen to the sounds of their studio, as well as participation in a creative audio and sensory experience at the Samuel Beckett Theatre facilitated by access artist Helen Hall.
We look forward to continued collaboration with Sindri in the future, and a huge thank you to Europe Beyond Access for making international connections between disabled artists like this possible.

Let the sermon, begin.
For tonight and tomorrow, Day Magee is taking over The Cube.
You are at a bus stop waiting for a bus – in short, you are following the rules. The bus is due, but has yet to arrive – the game itself is not following the rules.
You are approached by a fellow passenger-in-waiting, who begins to tell you a story about a bus driver. As to where the story goes, you will have to wait and see. It would appear that, either way, waiting is the name of the game.
Here, the performance artist Day Magee delivers an artist’s sermon to their fellow artists – a preaching to the choir, if you will – on the rules they are expected to follow, the rules they are expected to break, and the rewards and punishment they might be seeking.
Tickets are #SoldOut but keep an eye on our socials for any last minute releases!

Woman in STEM will be keeping the vibes going with some nu-disco, electronica, tech house, Khia Assylum Pop and plenty of cheeky soundcloud pop edits.
Want to know more about how we run things? Join Han, our House Manager, for a tour of the entire building, including back-stage access and a peek into our non-public spaces, including our balcony.
And finally, speaking of spaces, check out Tobi Bello's digital and print archive installation titled The Queer Archive, presented in our brand new space, The Percolator. Located in our lower foyer, this space is in the works to provide yet another way for audiences to engage with the artists we work with and the work that they present. More on that soon...
We have everything covered, so all that's left to do is show up. As always our Open Day is free to attend, no booking required!
