Day 5: The #RwandainGhana team today visited the Central region of the country and met with the Central Regional Minister, @assan_justina to discuss the region’s tourism offerings and collaborations between #Rwanda and #Ghana.

@belisekariza who is the head of the #RwandaInGhana delegation conveyed the team’s enthusiasm for the visit and the various areas of collaboration in tourism, trade and investment between the two countries.

The team also visited the #KakumNationalPark to experience the Canopy Walkway suspended 30m above the ground and its several endangered species and primates.

The experience provided an opportunity for Rwanda to share its own tourism and conservation story of @NyungwePark ’s canopy walkway which is suspended 70m above the ground, and one of the oldest in Africa

The day concluded with a tour of the #CapeCoastCastle, one of around 40 “slave castles” that served as prisons and embarkation points for over 1,500 slaves, & is currently a well-visited museum and heritage site to learn about the importance and significance of Africa’s history.
