If reports are correct, millions of people across Britain will hope that today’s announcement proves to be a first step towards the British government finally meeting its obligations under international law.

It must also include action against companies, charities and other entities linked to Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people including its ongoing genocide in Gaza.

British based company Dana Petroleum, through its contract with the Israeli government, is playing a significant role in facilitating the mass export of fossil fuels by Israel which it is using to fund its ongoing genocide in Gaza. The UK government must stop British companies profiting from Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine.
