I'm really excited about this new qualification which will truly advance equality of opportunity for the deaf community.

The government says that British Sign Language will be taught as a GCSE in England from September 2025. Parents, teachers and the deaf and hearing communities have taken part in a 12 week consultation to decide on the content of the qualification.

A reminder our friends at @Remark_UK are having their first community deaf Christmas market this Friday, 1st December, to experience fun, festivities, games, crafts, deaf talent and more.

The event will be held in Remark!'s office at 18 Leather Lane, London EC1N 7SU, from 4pm - 8pm.

The event is open to anyone - bring your friends, neighbours and children 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👩‍👩‍👦‍👦

The cost is £3 on the door and includes access to all areas and a complimentary mulled wine.
