@SciencNews @Prof_GD_Foster I blogged about this over ten years ago - the problem is that academia is a competition (for funding, to be the first to publish etc) and you are competing against people who DON'T see it as a job, who are happy to work long hours 7 days a week because they love it.

🔬 Over 3 days, 23 leading European faculty members and 45 attendees came together for inspiring lectures, oral abstracts, and flash talks — fostering lively discussions and translating cutting-edge research into clinical practice.
