Hello January!! And that means one thing, we welcome a new set of Medical Students ftom Queens University Belfast, School of Medicine & Denistry, on placement to WAVE @QUBMedEd This month they will be analysing health data in the context of trauma, interviewing clients, developing psychoeducation sheets and making oral presentations on their findings. We are so excited to chart their progress and see where this year takes us.

One of our fabulous students Cara presented her poster on sustainability at the recent DEMEC conference in Birmingham.
Her topic on ‘improving medical student preparedness for the operating theatre’ supports the remit of delivering excellence in medical education.

4 of our fabulous students took part in the Jack Flanagan Medal (an all-Ireland inter-varsity competition ) in Geriatric Medicine at RCSI, Dublin. They competed by presenting an unseen complex geriatric medical case and answering questions.
