H.E. Mr. Saad bin Ali Al-Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, met with H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Aqil Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the 10th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Meeting for Tourism Officials.

شارك سعادة السيد سعد بن علي الخرجي، رئيس قطر للسياحة، في الاجتماع العاشر لأصحاب السعادة المسؤولين عن السياحة بدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، والذي استضافته المنامة، عاصمة مملكة البحرين في 10 سبتمبر 2026.

وسلط سعادته الضوء على تطوير الباقات السياحية المشتركة، وتسريع تفعيل التأشيرة السياحية الخليجية الموحدة، وأشار إلى أن اختيار الدوحة عاصمة للسياحة الخليجية لعام 2026 يمثل فرصة لتعزيز التكامل بين الوجهات الخليجية وإبراز الهوية الثقافية والسياحية المشتركة للمنطقة.

H.E. Mr. Saad bin Ali Al-Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, participated in the 10th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Meeting for Tourism Officials, held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, on 10 September 2026.

His Excellency highlighted the development of joint tourism packages, accelerating the activation of the unified GCC tourism visa, and noted that Doha's selection as the Capital of Gulf Tourism for 2026 represents an opportunity to strengthen integration among Gulf destinations and highlight the region's shared cultural and tourism identity.

شارك السيد عمر الجابر، مدير شؤون العمليات التشغيلية، وممثلون عن قطر للسياحة في الاجتماع التحضيري لأصحاب السعادة الوكلاء المسؤولين عن السياحة بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، تحضيرًا للاجتماع العاشر للوزراء المسؤولين عن السياحة بدول المجلس، والمقرر عقده يوم الخميس، 10 سبتمبر 2026، في مملكة البحرين.

Omar Al-Jaber, Director of Operations Affairs, alongside representatives from Qatar Tourism, participated in the preparatory meeting of Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries responsible for tourism in the GCC countries, in preparation for the 10th GCC Ministerial Meeting for Tourism Officials, scheduled to take place on Thursday, 10 September 2026, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

احتفت أكاديمية التميز في الخدمة التابعة لقطر للسياحة بتكريم 147 مشاركاً في برامجها التدريبية المخصصة للمرشدين السياحيين على مدار عام 2026، وذلك خلال حفل "إرث المرشدين: من جيل إلى جيل"، في مسرح الواحة بقطر مول، وذلك بحضور السيد عمر الجابر، مدير شؤون العمليات التشغيلية في قطر للسياحة.

كما شهد الحفل تكريم الشركاء والمدربين الذين ساهموا في نجاح البرامج، إلى جانب الجهات التي استضافت الزيارات التعليمية والتدريبية للمشاركين. وتواصل قطر للسياحة بناء القدرات الوطنية وتعزيز الكوادر المؤهلة التي تدعم النمو المستدام لقطاع السياحة في دولة قطر.

Qatar Tourism’s Service Excellence Academy marked the achievements of 147 participants across its tour guide training and youth development programmes throughout 2026 during the “Legacy of Guides: Generation to Generation” ceremony, held at Oasis Stage, Mall of Qatar, in the presence of Mr. Omar Al-Jaber, Director of Operations Affairs at Qatar Tourism.

The ceremony also recognised the partners and trainers who contributed to the programmes, including those who hosted educational and training visits for participants. Qatar Tourism continues to build local capabilities and strengthen the talent pipeline supporting the sustainable growth of Qatar’s tourism sector.

استقبل المهندس عبدالعزيز علي المولوي، الرئيس التنفيذي لـ Visit Qatar، وفداً رفيع المستوى من الرابطة العالمية لصناعة المعارض (UFI)، ضم كلاً من:
-السيد كريس سكيث أوبي، الرئيس التنفيذي والمدير العام للرابطة
-السيد سعيد سالم الشنفري، الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز عُمان للمؤتمرات والمعارض والرئيس المرتقب للرابطة لعامي 2027-2028
-السيد ناجي الحداد، المدير الإقليمي للرابطة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا

بحث اللقاء سبل تعزيز العلاقات الراسخة التي تجمع بين Visit Qatar والرابطة، كما ناقش آفاق مواصلة التطوير المستمر لقطاع المعارض في دولة قطر والمنطقة.

Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar, met with a high-level delegation from UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, including:
-Mr. Chris Skeith OBE, UFI CEO and Managing Director
-Said Salim Al Shanfari, CEO of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre and incoming UFI President for 2027–2028
-Mr. Naji El Haddad, UFI’s Regional Director for the Middle East & Africa

The meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding relationship between Visit Qatar and UFI, as well as the continued development of the exhibitions industry in Qatar and the wider region.

انطلقت النسخة الثانية من معرض قطر للفعاليات 2026، الذي يُقام خلال الفترة من 1 إلى 3 سبتمبر في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات، بحضور المهندس عبدالعزيز علي المولوي، الرئيس التنفيذي لـ Visit Qatar، وبمشاركة واسعة من كبار المسؤولين والخبراء والمتخصصين في صناعة الفعاليات والمعارض والمؤتمرات.

وتأتي النسخة الثانية بدعم من رزنامة قطر، وتضم أكثر من 50 شركة وجهة عارضة وأكثر من 30 جلسة رئيسية وحوارية وورشة عمل.

The second edition of Qatar Event Show 2026 opened at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, taking place from 1 to 3 September, in the presence of Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar, bringing together senior officials, experts and professionals from across the events and MICE industry.

Supported by Qatar Calendar, the second edition features more than 50 exhibitors and over 30 keynotes, panel discussions and workshops.

استقبلت دولة قطر اليوم في مطار حمد الدولي أول رحلة طيران مستأجرة قادمة من العاصمة الأرمينية يريفان، في خطوة تعزز نمو السياحة الترفيهية الوافدة وتنويع الأسواق السياحية المصدّرة إلى قطر.

ويستمر برنامج الرحلات حتى 15 مايو 2027، بمعدل رحلة أسبوعية واحدة ومن المتوقع أن يستقطب نحو 6,500 زائر من أرمينيا، بما يسهم في تعزيز الروابط السياحية بين البلدين.
