Mitchell Robinson over 7.5 rebounds

Mitchell Robinson is in a sneaky great spot for this prop tonight vs the Rockets. HOU is perceived as a great rebounding team, however since Steven Adams got hurt in mid January that has not been the case.

Up until he got hurt, HOU had allowed only 38.4 rebounds per game which was the fewest in the NBA (7th fewest offensive rebs). But when we look at since Adams got hurt, we see the Rockets have been a mediocre team on the glass.

In this stretch since January 19th, HOU allows 44.2 rebounds per game (middle of the pack) and 12.7 offensive rebs per game ranking tied for 5th most in the league. This is a huge difference for them on the boards and I expect Mitch to take advantage.

Their struggles giving up alot of offensive rebs is particularly important because that's where Robinson thrives. On the season Mitchell Robinson gets 4.5 offensive rebs per game ranking 4th in the entire league, he gets 51.1% of his total rebounds on the offensive end. Robinson has gotten more than 50% of his rebs as offensive in each of the past 3 years and he leads the NBA in offensive reb chance conversion rate.

He's a menace on the glass who should thrive with HOU being without Adams. We've seen a bunch of solid rebounding games from opposing bigs since his absence: Hartenstein 8, Chet 14, Diabate 12 (27 chances), Gafford 11 (28 chances), Wemby 16 (22 chances), Queta 19 (29 chances).

Slower paced game (HOU 29th in pace, NYK 24th), this is good for a big like Mitch. KAT is also a bad defender who also gets in foul trouble often, we could see more mins for Robinson to defend Sengun.

With the Knicks starting lineup all healthy in games vs non top 10 reb teams, non top 10 offensive rebounding teams, and non top 5 pace teams, Robinson averages 11.4 rebounds going over this line in 7/8. The only miss by the hook in a 30 point blowout vs POR.

Just too low of a line for the matchup and Mitch should see good run against a bigger team like the Rockets.
