Most people think they understand the universe.
They donโt.
From black holes to simulations,
I break down the strangest truths in physics โ๏ธ
Follow if you want your mind slightly disturbed ๐
Are we in a simulation? ๐ฎ
Nick Bostromโs logic:
If even a few civilizations run billions of simulationsโฆ
simulated minds ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ real minds ๐
So the probability of you being simulated could be very high.
But it all depends on one thing:
Do such civilizations exist at all? ๐ค
Indian scientist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar transformed our understanding of stellar death ๐ฌ
He showed white dwarfs have a mass limit (~1.4ร Sun) โ๏ธ
Cross it โ gravity wins โ collapse or explosion ๐ฅ
The Chandrasekhar Limit defines the fate of stars โญ
Supernovae are not random events โ ๏ธ
In massive stars: fuel exhausted โ core collapse under gravity โ rebound shock โ explosion ๐ฅ
In binaries: white dwarf accretes mass โ exceeds Chandrasekhar limit โ thermonuclear runaway โก
Result: immense energy release ๐
Stars donโt die quietly โญ
Small ones fade into white dwarfsโฆ
Big ones explode as supernovae ๐ฅ
Some become neutron stars.
Others collapse into black holes ๐ณ๏ธ
And the wild part?
Youโre made of their ashes โจ
@LolaMenee@femmenote GPS was developed over decades by United States Department of Defense , Scientists and engineers like Bradford Parkinson, Roger L. Easton, and Ivan Getting . but yes I respect her contribution but your claim " She made GPS " is wrong
@LolaMenee@femmenote Gladys West was not the sole founder of GPS. Calling her the โMother of GPSโ is more of an honorary title highlighting her contribution, not literal authorship.
@femmenote Stop turning this into a gender debate. Facts: Hedy Lamarr co-invented frequency hopping with George Antheil ( man ), but modern Wi-Fi came decades later from teams like CSIRO.โ
Isaac Newton didnโt just learn calculusโฆ he invented it.
In 1665, the Great Plague of London shut Cambridge, sending him home.
No teachers. No classes.
In isolation, he built calculusโand laid the groundwork for gravity and optics.
Great ideas donโt always need crowds.

@NightSkyNow The universe isnโt expanding into anything outside it's just that space itself is getting bigger. So, everything between galaxies is stretching apart, not expanding into some outside space.
If you remove the empty space inside atoms, ~99.999999999% of matter disappears.
All humans on Earth (~8 billion people) would compress into a volume small enough to fit in something like an apple ๐
Atoms are mostly empty space, held together by forces, not packed โstuffโ.
