@BiedermanRob just curious of what you mean by talented? like financially successful? will be happy with the way they spent their life on their death bed? In some ways, I think people lack talent if they work so frequently that theyโre escaping the rest of their life/relationships
@BiedermanRob maybe you just noticed email-answering is a declaration of obedience to your expectations, and people who repeatedly declare obedience to youโtheyโre the most useful to you. Maybe theyโre useful to other people too, or accomplish occupational goals quickly
@RobertRMorris@zakijam@paulbloomatyale Last/n ..human-in-the-loop AI for mental health. Also the Machine Learning for Healthcare Conference would be a good place to go get othersโ opinions on stuff like this. Nice to meet you! -Annie
@RobertRMorris@zakijam@paulbloomatyale 5/n Iโm a psychologist interested in ways to make the world a safer place, high-quality/safe ways to help people change, & more topics like this. I liked your thread. Also are you aware of https://t.co/tT1QJidlcU? I think theyโre a brilliant example of ethical, human-in-the โฆ
@vincentweisser 2/n what incentives can pragmatically be implemented to facilitate an exodus from โCeSciโ ?.. perhaps he can describe some lessons learned from DeFi. That apply to us. I have a zillion questions but Iโll stop here๐ ๐
@vincentweisser 1/n I would like to know his input on what resources/organizing is needed to catalyze change from legacy systems (eg, centralized publishing) to blockchain-based. If tenure is decided based on impact factor, how can new journals realistically compete for the best articles?
