Elijah was 14 months when his Daddy (Acting Sgt) Nathan passed due to a cardiac arrest when on Ops in Cyprus in Dec ‘21. Elijah will have no memories of his Daddy and needs to meet other people in his situation as he grows older to keep the military link #monthofthemilitarychild
Sqn Ldr Nick Robbins died aged 41 Tanith (20) says “I was 11 when Dad died but postings meant he was only home for 4 of my birthdays. It was so hard when he died & we had to make a new life, feeling like a military child but not being one.Bereaved military children are forgotten”
The RAF Widows Association would like to congratulate Sir Knighton on his appointment as Chief of Air Staff. The chair met him recently and is looking forward to working with him.
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has confirmed that Air Marshal Sir Richard Knighton KCB FREng is to be appointed as Chief of the Air Staff and Aide-de-Camp to His Majesty, in the rank of Air Chief Marshal, in June 2023.
