Happy Liberation Day!
Today, together with representatives from the Rwanda Defence Force, the Rwanda National Police, and local government leaders, Minister @nsanzimanasabin joined the people of Nyaruguru District at Munini Hospital to conclude the 2026 Defence and Security Citizen Outreach Program (COP2026).
Similar outreach activities took place across the country, with leaders joining communities in different districts, reflecting our shared commitment to serving citizens.
As we celebrate #Kwibohora32, we honor the women and men in uniform whose courage liberated our nation and laid the foundation for the peace, security, and development we continue to build together.
Today, @RwandaNGOForum , alongside fellow Tubiteho Project consortium members, joined @RBCRwanda and the community for a belated observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking #IDADAIT2026, reaffirming our collective commitment to addressing the growing burden of substance use and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. Observed annually on 26th June, the day serves as a global call to strengthen prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts for all.
Under the theme “Breaking the Chains: Prevention, Treatment & Recovery for All” translated in Kinyarwanda as “Ibiyobyabwenge byangiza ubuzima: Dukomeze kubyirinda no kuvura ababaswe nabyo,” the event highlighted the urgent need to expand access to harm reduction services, promote early identification and treatment, and strengthen integrated support systems for people who use drugs (PWUDs).
Together, we continue to advocate for people-centred, evidence-based harm reduction approaches that prioritize dignity, health, and recovery over stigma and exclusion. Through partnership, awareness and community action, we can build safer, healthier and more resilient communities for everyone.

Long weekend survival tip:
1.Keep the friend who says “Let’s work out”
2.Question the one who keeps testing your liver with “Just 1 more drink”
Choose friends who help you make healthy choices

Why are younger generations getting cancer earlier?
⚠️Accelerated biological aging is a factor: more sitting, ultra processed foods, obesity & poor sleep.
✅Move more and enjoy ☀️, eat whole foods 🥗, sleep well 😴
