The last of the ‘Operation Goldfish’ gifts have been delivered to local care homes
This is one of our favourite projects, spreading joy and kindness to residents without family. Thank you to everyone who asked to be matched, bought & wrapped gifts, sorted & to all who delivered🙏🏻
It was great to meet Paul from @kcahtweets, and Gill this morning to drop off starter kits to support people moving into accommodation. We hope this helps them settle in on their journey out of homelessness.
Thank you to the lovely team at Eden Walk Shopping Centre who have been running a present appeal for us to support people in Kingston Hospital over Christmas. Thanks to the generous shoppers and the wrappers. @KHFTCharity staff were delighted to receive the presents 🎄🎁
It’s a pleasure to be able to contribute to the work you do and hope the Warmer in Winter bags help keep those you support a bit warmer and no, that’s a community care for them.
What an amazing gift from the wonderful people at @rbkares, 40 christmas bags filled with useful & gorgeous presents. They will be under the tree on the 18th of December when we invite people we support to come for a mince pie & a cup of something mulled (0% natch). Thanks again
If you are in Kingston, pop in to the Museum to see the quilt that is made from fabrics used to make 50,000 items of PPE during the Pandemic
The Cloak of Hope is made from panels made by refugees as a symbol of their new community.
And the tree made of hats & spares if you need 1
We are extremely grateful to the @KingstonRotary for their generous donation of £1,000.
Their support will make a real difference in helping us continue our work supporting vulnerable residents across the borough. It was great to show Thay, Paul & Hilary around the Wellbeing day.
In Trustee Week, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to our incredible trustees.
As a volunteer run charity, we simply couldn’t do what we do without the dedication and support of our trustees. They give their time, energy, and expertise to help us make a difference in our community.
Our next Wellbeing day is Fri 7th & there will be lots of local organisations there to support community members.
@showerboxldn will be coming back to @kcahtweets down the road.
Come for health checks, haircuts, fuel vouchers, benefit support, careers advice, bike repairs & more!
We are so grateful to @bigyellowss for our charity space.
As we collect the blankets, scarves & hats that our community makes, & buy the socks, gloves, mugs, torches & hot water for our Warmer in Winter bags, the space is invaluable
Thanks to the 2nd Hook Scouts for organising it

Our volunteers busy knitting & crocheting scarves, hats and blankets.
These are packed in bags with socks, gloves, torch, thermal mugs, a gift & helpful leaflets to help keep people who struggle to keep warm.
Can you help by crocheting or knitting scarves and blankets?
We had a great evening at @bigyellowss with 11 scouts from the 2nd Hook group & their leaders for their community badge.
The scouts were brilliant and counted & sorting of all hats, scarves, blankets & bags that our volunteers have been making for our Warmer in Winter project.
We are really excited to have been chosen as one of the @coopuk community fund.
We would love it if you could choose us as your cause this year. It will really help fund our wellbeing days which have a positive impact on local residents needing support.
