@ursulaamason provided evidence to the Health Committee today alongside Dr Andy Green from @TheBMA on the Adult Protection Bill. We welcome the spirit of the Bill, but it is vital that patient–doctor confidentiality is protected and not undermined.
We welcome the publication of the @NIA_PAC’s report on Access to General Practice. @ursulaamason spoke to media to outline that improving access is only possible with investment into General Practice.

Full house in Armagh this morning for our Essential Paediatrics for Primary Care Conference with @SimEdRBHSC. First session on ‘clinical conundrums and the coughing child’ is underway.
We welcome the Committee’s palliative care inquiry and report. It is disappointing that no recommendations address general practice or district nursing. GPs are central to end-of-life care, and improving services demands appropriate funding for general practice
