In an unfortunate incident, a 33-year-old software engineer, identified as Trishna Rahul Sakpal, allegedly lost her life after facing severe domestic distress and harassment from her in-laws in Pune. According to a formal complaint registered by her father, Balkrishna Nikam, Trishna had faced continuous financial demands and mental pressure since her marriage in 2018, including coercion regarding her earnings and property matters. Distressed by ongoing domestic discord, she had been residing separately with her parents. Police recovered a note naming five individuals from her matrimonial family, following which an FIR was registered against her husband, in-laws, and relatives. Authorities have initiated a legal probe into the allegations.

The Dalit family of Shyamlal had caught Shyamadhar Mishra and the daughter of Shyamlal's brother and filed a police complaint against him for molestation and under the SC/ST Act.

Angered by the police action, Shyamadhar entered the family's home on Sunday night and opened fire with a country-made pistol.

Manoj Kumari, Shyamlal's wife died on the spot. Shyamlal sustained critical injuries and was referred to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj.

After the shooting, Shyamadhar fled to a nearby field and shot himself. He was taken to the hospital but died during treatment/en route to Prayagraj.

AP IAS officer Vikas Marmat booked in Bengaluru after pub altercation

An Andhra Pradesh cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Vikas Marmat, project director of the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA), has been booked by Bengaluru police following an alleged altercation with police personnel at a pub on Residency Road.

The case was registered at Cubbon Park police station based on a complaint by inspector Arun Salunke. Marmat and three others, Abhay Uday Singh, Nithish and Roshan.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1.30am on October 10, when Bengaluru Central Crime Branch personnel were checking identity cards to verify the ages of customers at Cavore Bar and Restaurant on Residency Road.

According to the complaint, four people allegedly entered into an argument with the police personnel and assaulted them.

Police registered a criminal case against Marmat and the three others under at Cubbon Park police station.
