What happens when clients become more selective, candidates prioritise balance over flexibility, and the market refuses to follow old patterns?
That was one of the big questions Adam Hawkins challenged leaders to consider during his opening keynote at RECLive26.
Understanding these shifts—and using data to respond strategically—is becoming one of the defining capabilities of successful recruitment businesses.
If you were there, now's the perfect time to revisit the conversation.

Businesses should be creating jobs, not taking on more of the Government's enforcement responsibilities.
The REC is concerned that proposals to widen Right to Work liability across labour supply chains could increase bureaucracy, slow hiring and create legal risk for compliant employers.

What if we've been asking the wrong question about AI?
During his opening keynote at #RECLive26, Adam Hawkins challenged recruitment leaders to rethink transformation. Rather than asking "Where can technology fit into what we already do?", he encouraged leaders to ask "If technology could do everything, where does human expertise create the greatest value?"
It's a subtle shift in mindset—but one that could fundamentally change how recruitment businesses grow, innovate and compete.
This is just one of the many insights shared throughout RECLive26.
