Great recap of what we've been up to over the past few years - taking the best of @UnrealEngine and extending it into the mass density backbone of @MSquared_io , capable of 20k+ unique players in one spot.
UE5 dev platform early access coming later this year!
Seeking a founding AI native designer for new ai first messaging platform in stealth. Great pay, total freedom, tiny super cracked team, infinite funding. Email: [email protected] with something awesome you've designed.
@gfodor We went from “man the computers in Star Trek are so unrealistic, they wouldn’t understand natural language so well” to “man, Star Trek is so unrealistic, the computers wouldn’t be so stupid” in like 2 years..
Amazing to see this on @Somnia_Network - this came out of us realizing that although EVM was great it was missing key pieces to actually build fully decentralized applications. Something as simple as listening to transfers of a token and triggering on-chain logic was impossible until now.
Somnia Reactivity is now live on Testnet.
Reactivity allows dApps to subscribe to on-chain events and state changes, receiving instant callbacks when updates occur.
This replaces polling, cutting down on RPC calls and reducing latency.
Key aspects:
• Events and state updates arrive from the same block for consistent, low-latency reads.
• Supports both off-chain (WebSocket) and on-chain (EVM invocations) delivery.
• Subscriptions are configurable with filters, delivery options, and coalescing to manage load.
We'll cover the details (implementation, examples, questions) in next week’s Dev Hangout, here on X.

https://t.co/zAvl1cDaag really excited to share the news about @yugalabs in-housing the Imporium team and unreal creator platform powering @OthersideMeta and the ODK. @msquared efforts in 2026 will double down on leveraging the open capabilities of the web (especially WebGPU) and advancing our MML interoperability standard to be ready for an AI-first development future
@nicbarkeragain Totally, I find graduate engineers suffer most which I think may be down to classic OOP education being the trivial “student is a human” type examples
2025 has been amazing for @MSquared_io and the open metaverse - over 300,000 interoperable MML (and VRM!) avatars now on-chain, and a growing number of worlds that use it. Want to share what’s in the oven right now for 2026 - it's just the start.
Finally, we’re looking at all the game vibe coding projects out there - while ThreeJS is a great renderer, LLMs have to vibe code extremely complex systems on top like physics, pathfinding, rendering, audio, that all interact in subtle ways. Our MML engine framework solves this, along with providing local or remote multiplayer out-of-the-box.
Our open source web world renderer is being overhauled to leverage the visual fidelity and performance of WebGPU. It’s starting with things like lighting and post-processing but this opens up far more possibilities over time.
