A sense of belonging (SB) is central for the mental health of young people. In our recent publication we investigated, if the association of SB with depressive symptoms, generalized anxiety, and positive mental health were equal among immigrant and non-immigrant youth. 1/4
This is an important new finding as we measured the sense of belonging in host national contexts, while in previous studies a like finding has concerned the buffering effect of an ethnic identity. 3/4
