📗 Tonight, the Youth Select Committee held our report launch on our investigation into the Cost of Living Crisis and its impact on young people.

Economy Minister Dr @CArchibald_SF recently visited Omagh campus @swcchat where she met with the leadership team, apprentices and higher education students before providing the closing remarks for the college’s ‘No More Week' workshops.
The Minister said: “The Executive has published a Strategic Framework and Delivery Plan to end violence against women and girls. It recognises the need to raise awareness of what a healthy relationship looks like, what harmful behaviour looks like, and gives people the confidence to challenge unacceptable behaviour. These workshops show that young people are taking the initiative and lobbying for change. That is really inspiring and I commend their efforts.”
We’ve worked very hard @fermanaghomagh to create significant capital grant opportunities for sports clubs & community/voluntary groups etc. £ 1 million every year for 5 years. Will open for applications in April and will close in May. We are agreeing 2026 approach this evening.

Sinn Féin will keep working to create opportunities so that families and young people have the best opportunities on their doorstep, to stay, work, and build their futures here at home.
I am working to deliver economic opportunities in communities right across the North.
It was a pleasure to be in Omagh today for the official opening of the £6m Digi-Hub.
This investment has transformed a derelict building into a state-of-the-art space where dozens of local entrepreneurs can grow and develop their businesses, creating up to 250 jobs.
Massive credit to everyone involved in bringing this project to life, and my best wishes to the entrepreneurs for the future, I’ve no doubt you will all excel! 👏🏻

Young people are not just the future, but they are the here and now and deserve to have our say on matters impacting us. There can be nothing about us, without us. (3)
From being a Youth MP at 14, to leading a charity at 15, to calling for holiday hunger programmes in the House of Commons at 16. I’ve learned that age does not limit the impact you can have on society.

This #InternationalYouthDay, I celebrate the young people fighting for change in education, mental health, climate action, and democracy. Votes at 16 is a step forward, but true change comes when our voices are not only heard but acted upon. (2)
Happy International Youth Day 2025! 🌍
