A fun housing/short term rental nugget for those interested:

At first, organizers thought KC wouldn’t have enough hotel rooms, so the city made it easier for people to rent their homes.

By the end of May, KC had increased listings for short-term rentals by 56%, by far the most of any other host, per @Jamie_Lane. Unbooked rooms are also 182% more expensive than this time last year, even with lower-than-expected turnout so far.
