I hate that we doom these projects without playing them, but I can't help that all these games look like machines to extract revenue from users. They all are that, but so many games just *look like* it now.

EA wanted Veilguard to sell 3 million copies in two months. There's no planet where that is realistic. I get that they wanted to make their money back but presenting the game as having failed is insulting to the intelligence of anyone paying attention.
Not that I want my Twitter to be my font of complaint, but I was in the Xbox Developer Direct chat for TWO SECONDS when I saw at least twenty people shrieking about Silksong. At this point, I want them to release the game just because I'm starting to resent its very name.
