Behind The Scenes:

Preparations for the Namib Race / UltraLite (Namibia) are well underway! Equipment is being shipped from Hong Kong all the way to Namibia, awards and medals have arrived, and all of the race bibs are being printed.

The Namib Race begins 16 August.

I just completed my 2nd @racingtheplanet Gobi March self-supported, multistage, ultra marathon in Mongolia 🇲🇳. 250 km/155 miles, 7 days. Course was a bit different than the 2023 version. The 2026 version is like a movie sequel. Familiar but different. Matching finishers medals!

History has been made: we have a female overall winner in Elise Lagerstrom! Rob Robinson held strong to complete his win for the men's division, in second place overall. Third place belongs to Miguel Avellaneda Delgado of Spain.

The final day has arrived: Stage 6!

Start times are staggered this morning, with the majority of the field starting at 6:30am and the faster competitors beginning at 7am.

We'll be live with more updates from the finish and from the awards banquet in Ulaanaatar later tonight!

Stage 5 is done, and what a gorgeous day it was! River crossings, beautiful forests, and an incredible feeling at the last camp as only the final few kilometres to the finish line remain.
It's been an incredible race, and we can't wait to see it through to the finish!

The race is underway again as Stage 5 began this morning at 8am. The toughest part is over with The Long March, and after today it’s all downhill! Stage 5 will take competitors from the wide-open valley into a lush Mongolian forest, twice crossing the Orkhon river.
