Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Sqn Ldr Prashant Singh, Flt Lt Shubham Kumar, Sgt Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat and Agniveervayu Danish Alam in the AN-32 aircraft accident in Assam.

Their courage, service and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty will always be remembered with pride and gratitude. 🇮🇳

My heartfelt condolences to their families and the entire Indian Air Force fraternity. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured co-pilot.

History has been written today.

On 10 June 2026, Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji completes 4,399 consecutive days in office, surpassing the 4,398 days of India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji, to become the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister in the history of our Republic.

Pause for a moment and reflect on what this truly means.

India is not a nation in the ordinary sense. It is a civilisation of 1.4 billion souls. A land of 22 scheduled languages and hundreds of dialects; of many faiths, castes, communities and creeds; of countless regions and walks of life, living side by side. We are the world's largest democracy, with an electorate of nearly 98 crore, more than the people living in all of Europe. This makes ours perhaps the most complex electoral exercise across the globe.

And yet, out of these 1.4 billion people, the same leader has been entrusted with the nation: again, and again, and again. 2014. 2019. 2024. Three successive mandates from the people of India, each one a renewed act of faith.

To win the trust of so vast and diverse a nation even once is remarkable. To win it three times over, without a break, is extraordinary.

Consider, too, how different the two eras are. Pandit Nehru ji earned his mandate in the formative decades of the Republic, an age of one-party dominance in which the Congress towered over a young and fragmented opposition. Narendra Modi ji has earned his in a far more demanding democracy: the age of coalitions, of powerful regional forces and fierce multi-party competition. And he has met that challenge in full: winning absolute majorities in his own right in 2014 and 2019 (the first single-party majorities since 1984), and then forging and leading a victorious coalition in 2024. To command the trust of so fiercely contested a nation, mandate after mandate, is by any measure the harder achievement.

On this historic occasion, I bow to the wisdom of the Indian voter and salute the Hon'ble Prime Minister's tireless devotion to the nation.

May he be blessed with robust health and a long life, and may the people of Bharat grant him many more mandates in the service of our motherland.

Today, on the first anniversary of #OperationSindoor, I salute the unmatched courage, precision and valour of our Indian Armed Forces, who struck decisively against the forces of terrorism and sent a clear message that India will never tolerate threats to its sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.

On this solemn occasion, I also bow my head in remembrance of the innocent lives lost in the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam. Their pain and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

#WATCH | Delhi: On the incident of twin explosions in Punjab, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha says, "In the past few hours, two bomb blasts have occurred in Punjab—one in Jalandhar and the other in Amritsar. We condemn this. The situation is very sensitive and worrying, and these bomb blasts are a clear attempt to disrupt the peace and tranquillity of Punjab. Punjab's DGP, after visiting the crime scene and conducting a thorough investigation with forensic experts, concluded in his initial investigation that Pakistan's ISI was behind this incident. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Punjab is stating that the BJP is behind this incident, not Pakistan's ISI. So, I want to ask directly: why does Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann want to give a clean chit to Pakistan's ISI? Has his enmity with the BJP become so intense that they have to go and sit in the lap of Pakistan's ISI? We often see that whenever the ISI carries out an attack, it then distances itself from it, claiming it was a false flag operation and had nothing to do with it. Today, Bhagwant Mann is directly promoting the ISI's narrative. Mann is echoing what the ISI says, which is very dangerous... I would request the CM to put aside his love for Pakistan and assess the situation in Punjab and work on restoring law and order there. He should work on bringing this investigation to a conclusion and take the people of his state into confidence, rather than making such irresponsible statements."

We conveyed how the AAP’s Punjab government is misusing State machinery to target us for exercising our constitutional rights, after two-thirds of MPs chose to merge with the BJP. The party that once cried vendetta is now practising its most toxic form.

We take strength from the President’s assurance that constitutional rights and democratic choices must be respected.

Today, exercising the provisions of the Constitution of India, more than two-thirds of the AAP MPs in the Rajya Sabha have merged with the BJP.
