A student wanted an internship. He reached me through one of my friend.
First meeting, he told me straight. He needed a certificate for his US college application. Nothing about the shop floor. Nothing about the machines.
Compare this to a training center I saw at my customer’s factory in Germany. 130 students train there two days a week for three and a half years.
I have seen this many times here. Most of the students who come are there for a certificate. I think that’s why we don’t build skilled manpower.
