@TheJaeVESper This stuff is funny. Outside of the "jock tax," we pay all the same taxes. In fact, FICA can only tax your first $184,500 in income, so it hurts middle-class taxpayers comparatively more.

The only folks to have sympathy for these guys on taxes are folks that don't pay taxes.

This is what bothers me about this take: Nobody cares if LeBron gets along with KD or Steph. Nobody cares if Giannis likes Luka or Jokic. Why does Caitlin Clark have to get along with other WNBA players? Yes, she has a responsibility to grow the league. But not by making friends.

Caitlin Clark inarguably faces more external fire than any other professional athlete. Media outlets regularly and unfairly bash her character for no reason other than clicks. There are real groups of people online that fanaticize about causing her physical harm. Her own colleagues have borderline assaulted her on the court unprovoked on numerous occasions. She had a literal STALKER follow her across the country before being arrested and sentenced to prison

Yet somehow through ALL of that, her main focus has always been about wanting to play basketball. And through doing that, she has turned the WNBA into something that was never remotely conceivable before her. The league that was borderline bankrupt for years now have their players flying on charter jets with tripled salaries and a larger audience than ever

But she does ONE interview where her message is simply "I'm human and deserve empathy too"... and this is the response?

Someone please explain to me in crayon eating terms what the hell CC is supposed to be taking accountability for...
