Nearly 400,000 philosophical and theological volumes in these stacks. Even the slightest curiosity I’ve had this past week, I’ve been able to indulge. Really hard to overstate how awesome it is to work out of such a vast library
@DavidPaternostr@RonCriss5 I’m starting my PhD in religious studies there in the Fall! The library was one of the biggest draws. It’s an amazing collection and wonderful librarians
If you know how much Chicago (or any other university) is paying to give everyone on campus Claude Enterprise, my DMs are open. I am curious how this expense compares to the apparently “too expensive” humanities PhD programs Chicago has cut. I bet the answer is illuminating!
Moreover, Sean’s approach to scripture and tradition is far more Anglican, Reformational, and Catholic than his interlocutors. It’s just an excellent piece of Anglican theology, even for someone who disagrees with the conclusion he reaches.
I really enjoyed this article from @AngAesthetics. We have slightly different views on the issue, but this is exactly the sort of argument that cuts through distractions to get to the heart of the matter.
Always a joy to write with @NorthAmAnglican !
We need to fervently revive and unrelentingly apply our distinctive Anglican theological method if we want to hold orthodox Anglicanism together:

“I pray God we may persist in the doctrine of our Church, contained in our Articles and Homilies. Innovators are too much favoured nowadays.”
- Samuel Ward to Archbishop Ussher.
There is a huge market in education for anyone willing to simply reject the use of AI. Many, and I’d guess most, people who value education do not want it.
“We embrace AI as not something we simply do…AI is part of who and how we are.”
I’m going to say it for the thousandth time: the problem is not the cheating students. They are a symptom of a problem. The problem is that academic administrators are at war with education itself.
What does AI think of Magnifica Humanitas? Not much, apparently.
This analysis by Claude is brutal. And because it was run very soon after publication, it’s not a compilation of other critiques, but an analysis far more objective than most you’ll read. https://t.co/097HBupCBj
