Holy Saturday teaches us that hope and waiting are often the same. The longer you wait, the easier it is to lose hope. God’s seeming inactivity is not a cause for despairing; it is often the pre-cursor to resurrection.
While we, like John the Baptist, may be unworthy to stoop down and untie His sandals, He stoops down and in utter humility and love, washes our feet for life's journey through Him to the Father, by the power of the Spirit.
