Some fun news to announce. I’ve finished a story and will be releasing it as a podcast. Millie Salmon and The Infinite Shop has been a fun story to write, and is a lot more fun to read. I hope you enjoy the silly voices and the trip to the stars.

To the witty and amazing post that got de-existenced by the Threads app through some blip in this collapsing ecosystem, you were better than the flarnched dissembly this SMS aggregator gave you.
@VivziePop’s Hazbin Hotel is blasphemous, hilarious, and fits right in with modern shows that decide it’s time to fight Heaven itself. Today’s global problems feel baked into the fabric of the universe, and the only way to fix them is at the very top.

If you haven’t watched Hazbin Hotel, you should. It’s blasphemous, hilarious, and fits right in with modern shows that decide it’s time to fight Heaven itself. In my last column for @UrbanistOrg, let’s look at why this feels necessary.

All righty, now that it’s over, here’s your write up about trying to be on the Seattle City Council. Yes, I do thank everyone that cheered me on, as that was the most redeeming part of a stilted and ham handed process.

LOL, Trump barely squeaked out a majority in Iowa and actually lost one of the counties to Haley. Anyone saying his win was "commanding" is missing the dozen counties he didn't go over 50% and overall failure to convince barely 51% of his most rabid supporters he could win again.
While I did not get to make it to the Finalist round of City Council Vacancy Survivor, I was very happy to have 90 seconds to remind the council that The Comp Plan is Imminent. Abundant housing in every neighborhood!
We have an urbanist applicant! Raymond Dubicki, an applicant, speaks to the council about the importance of abundant housing in every neighborhood to solve homelessness and undo the racist history of redlining

Seattle Councilmember Cathy Moore is encouraging applicants to fill committees if they don’t get the seat. Wonder if she ever applied for Design Review.
Hey #Seattle I need your help.
I'm one of the 72 people who applied to fill Position 8 on the Seattle City Council. The council is holding an initial cut to decide finalists TOMORROW January 12. Would you be so kind as to send a quick message of support?
I want to be on the Seattle City Council for a year to prompt the politically difficult conversations. Like should we keep public golf as gated lawns or filled them with active green housing near the new light rail stations? Right now, we can't even start the debate.
Most of you may know me from writing about land use issues for @urbanistorg. I'm also a dad of two in public schools, and a renter in the city. I want to be on the City Council for a year because we need to get the details right in and around the new Comprehensive Plan.
