The Palestinian young man Mohammad Dhabban passed away after a long struggle with a rare illness as he was unable to receive treatment outside the Gaza Strip due to travel restrictions.
With the first winter storm, Gaza’s streets and makeshift camps were submerged, leaving thousands of displaced families without shelter.
Gaza Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal reports that thousands of tents collapsed under the rain, forcing people to sleep in the open as Israeli occupation forces continue to block the entry of vital shelter materials.
He added that sewage flooding, caused by the destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, is now contaminating streets and triggering widespread illness.
