Louisiana State Representative, District 8

If you haven’t heard the story of #katiebuggrantham please take a moment to watch her mother’s testimony in Committee. Proud to Represent such an amazing family. #hb132 https://t.co/GDQiFVJLX0

@truthwinged The current statute mandates 16 year olds clock out by 11 and 17 year olds by midnight - this bill wouldn’t effect that.

[LBA @LABankers]

Thank you to all the bankers & legislators who attended one of the recently held 13 banker/legislator meetings. The statewide tour ended in Shreveport on February 28. https://t.co/TpgjwrSQ8J

This week, I attended the Veterans Day assembly at Legacy Elementary and then read a book to a first grade class and a Kindergarten class. I always enjoy the opportunity to interact with the children of our district in our great schools, especially to honor our nation's veterans!

[Raymond Crews @raymondcrewsla]

@jgspill @BPSTIL Thanks for having me, I always leave @BPSTIL encouraged about our future!

[Raymond Crews @raymondcrewsla]

It was an honor to receive Louisiana Family Forum Outstanding Family Advocate Award! Congratulations to all of the legislators who also received the honor for voting for family values that are important to Louisiana!

We will never forget. Today, we remember those who were lost on this day 17 years ago. It was fitting to honor that memory by recognizing some heroes of today at the @bossierchamber Patriot Awards Presentation. #NeverForget

A storied life. Praying for his family. https://t.co/sKgxFbcu8e

This is a victory for the Consititution-loving citizens of Louisiana! No commercial entity has the authority to reinterpret the 2nd Amendment. Louisiana can do business elsewhere. I’m thankful that my conservative colleagues agree. https://t.co/0YkxaZpQEI

We really enjoyed the Coastal Conservation Association Louisiana Legislators’ Fishing Rodeo last week! It was great to have the opportunity to enjoy our state's great outdoor sports with family, friends, and fellow legislators. #LouisianaFishing #OnlyLouisiana

Also at the Bossier Schools board meeting, Benton High School Baseball team and Coach JD Stephens were recognized for winning the state championship, and Coach Stephens was also recognized for being named LSWA 4A Coach of the year.

[Raymond Crews @raymondcrewsla]

I helped recognize several at last week's Bossier Schools board meeting. Spencer Favor, of Airline HS, was commended for scoring a perfect 36 on her ACT. Jillian Maxwell, of Benton HS, was commended for being selected to represent Louisiana at the HOBY World Leadership Congress.

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak at the Republican Women of Bossier meeting, along with my fellow State Representative Dodie Horton. I enjoyed the “fireside” chat we had with the Members, Associate Members and Guests of the RWB.

[Raymond Crews @raymondcrewsla]

I went to JAIL Monday...for a visit 😉 Thank you Sheriff Whittington, Capt. Stokes, deputies and staff for the opportunity to learn more about the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office and Correctional Facilities. I especially enjoyed doing the ride along with Deputy Reigan Malmay!

[Bossier Sheriff @bossiersheriff]

LA REPRESENTATIVE GOES TO JAIL

While the Republican Delegation can argue a victory has been won, it was not as sizable as it should have been. We whittled the take down from $1.2 billion to $463 million, but it was still far too much. The bill goes to the Senate next week. Thanks for your encouragement!

[Raymond Crews @raymondcrewsla]

I enjoyed my time back in District 8. On Tuesday, I was able to participate in the Bossier High School’s new turf field ribbon cutting!
