🐾 Embaixador Goldy — A página antes da notificação

🇵🇹 O fato ficou longe. O pijama era leve. Os óculos, na ponta do nariz, só para a página não fugir.
O Goldy lia um livro que tinha o seu nome na capa — O Embaixador Goldy e a Máquina que Ajuda — e não parecia vaidoso com isso. Parecia alguém a verificar se a frase ainda era verdadeira. Ao lado, o chá. O auricular, num ouvido só. O telemóvel, pousado na mesinha, de ecrã para baixo, como quem foi convidado e ainda não falou.
A poltrona segurava-o. A noite não pedia avenida.

🇬🇧 The suit was far away. The pajamas were light. The glasses, on the tip of his nose, only so the page would not escape.
Goldy was reading a book that had his name on the cover — Ambassador Goldy and the Machine that Helps — and he did not look vain about it. He looked like someone checking whether the sentence was still true. Beside him, the tea. The earbud, in one ear only. The phone, on the side table, screen down, like a guest who had not yet spoken.
The armchair held him. The night did not ask for an avenue.
