The sad thing is Genevieve will miss out on future political opportunities because of this candor - suggesting an abusive degenerate shouldn’t be a Senator.
And the amateur-hour campaign attacking her and pushing Platner to lie about his own background - will continue to thrive.
I don't think the TL has ever been this united, because:
-The facts aren't in dispute
-The right decision is clear ethically, morally, and legally
-It is also clear that Sorsby's lawyers put up a transparently bad faith argument as an excuse
And the judge sided with him to help a football team
This is the correct approach. You can’t allow the sport to continue with a school willing to field players who are placing wagers on their own team.
Texas Tech must face consequences, or whatever is left of the sport is truly dead.
The CFP committee should convene and agree to withhold Texas Tech from the CFP if they choose to play Sorsby this year. This sport cannot allow district court judges to use their bias and corruptness to bypass the simplest of rules or else this game is ruined forever.
So Brendan Sorsby bet at least 40 times on his own team, while underage, and then paid people to make bets for him when he moved to a state where gambling is illegal.
Two game suspension.
Not a good precedent we're setting here, my friends.
The CFP Selection Committee should come out and announce that Texas Tech is ineligible for the CFP if Sorsby participates in any games for Texas Tech this season. What is stopping them from doing so?
Would be a great way for the Selection Committee to re-earn the trust of fans.
Athletes *know* they can't bet on their own team. It's to preserve competitive integrity — and it's why today's ruling left so many in CFB speechless.
Actions should have consequences, and those consequences should not be voided by friendly judges. https://t.co/c1YjmQhoN4
In response to the Brendan Sorsby ruling today I just had one coach reach out to me and posed this question. “What is going to stop schools from signing an NFL player that just got cut in camp? It’s against NCAA rules but local courts have proven they re-write the rule book now.”
• 9000 different bets
• $90,000 wagered
• Betting on games he suited up for
• Willfully ignoring classes and meetings from 3 different institutions about the one cardinal sin in sports
But hey, find a local judge and convince him the kid will be really sad if he doesn’t get to play and none of that matters does it?
What a joke.
Hunter Dekkers 👿
• 366 bets
• ~$2,800 wagered
• One bet involving Iowa State football
• Lost entire season, NCAA eligibility, career
Brendan Sorsby 😇
• ~2,900 bets
• ~$90,000 wagered
• 40+ bets involving Indiana football
• Currently eligible after court injunction
Sorsby placed ~8x more bets and wagered ~32x more money than Dekkers…
The Brendan Sorsby court ruling is unlike any NCAA loss before it.
This one is unconscionable.
Shame on Texas Tech for supporting it.

@Glen_CnFocus@RossDellenger@YahooSports Rules on gambling were very clear. NCAA enforced clear rule that Sorsby admits violating. Yet judge over rode the rules , ridiculous
@RossDellenger@YahooSports At this point why bother having any rules at all, you’re not enforcing them, it’s hard to watch something so successful getting torn to pieces by people so incompetent at their jobs.
Kinda weird how it wasn’t up to voters to decide if Biden being tired and hoarse was a dealbreaker…He was forced out by the same party who refuses to force out a violent misogynistic Nazi
