For decades, many people, including,@realjohngatto, have argued that the school system turns people into consumers. Whether intentional or a happy accident, it doesn’t matter.

This actually makes sense. Think about how the school system constantly puts you into a state of fear and insecurity where your adequacy is constantly being judged by the authorities who had tremendous power over you.

That shapes you into being someone who can easily be made to feel inadequate and incomplete so that you will buy things that you don’t need. Countless industries operate that way.
